Andrew has been selling and delivering electronic payment
technologies for over a decade to the biggest and best
banks in New Zealand and Australia.
Previously in sales management roles with point of-sale
leaders Keycorp and ProvencoCadmus, Andrew is well established
within the Australasian payment eco-system, including issuing
and acquiring banks, payment switches, card schemes and
industry associations.
Andrew's responsibilities at M-Com include working with
M-Com customers across Asia Pacific to ensure they develop
a compelling business case to invest further in the mobile
channel and successfully execute on their mobile banking
and payments strategies.

Bin Zhang Managing Director
Union Mobile Pay
Mr. Zhang founded Union Mobile Pay, a leading mobile payment
provider in China in 2003 and has been the Company’s
Managing Director since then.
Prior to joining UMPay, Mr. Zhang worked for Nortel Networks,
Microsoft and Texas Instruments.
Mr. Zhang graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology
with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994 and holds an
MBA from the University of Illinois.

Craig Richman
Director, Mobile Payments

Craig Richman is responsible for product and project management
of mobile Visa payWave
within the Asia Pacific region. Craig works closely with
Visa’s clients, partners and technology
vendors on the planning and execution of pilot implementations
and is also leading initiatives
to commercialize Visa payWave on near field communication
(NFC)-enabled mobile devices.
Craig joined Visa in August 2007 after four years in financial
clearing and settlement of
international mobile roaming traffic, where he helped set
up an operations centre to service
the Asia Pacific region. He spent three and a half years
with IT consulting firm Consult
Hyperion which included work on the Hong Kong smart ID
card project. His previous roles
have also included product development in the area of smart
cards and public key
infrastructure.
Married, with two children, he is based in Singapore.

David G.W. Birch
Director

David G.W. Birch is a Director of Consult Hyperion, the
IT management consultancy that specialises in electronic
transactions, where he provides specialist consultancy
support to clients around the world. Before helping to
found Consult Hyperion in 1986, he spent several years
working as a consultant in Europe, the Far East and North
America. He graduated from the University of Southampton
with a B.Sc (Hons.) in Physics.
Described by The Telegraph as “one of the world’s
leading experts on digital money”, by The Independent
as a "grade-A geek", by the Centre for the Study
of Financial Innovation as "one of the most user-friendly
of the UK's uber-techies" and by Financial World as "mad",
Dave is a member of the editorial board of the E-Finance & Payments
Law and Policy Journal, a columnist for SPEED and well-known
for his blogs on Digital Money and Digital Identity.
He has lectured to MBA level on the impact of new information
and communications technologies, contributed to publications
ranging from the Parliamentary IT Review to Prospect and
wrote a Guardian column for many years. He is a media commentator
on electronic business issues and has appeared on BBC television
and radio, Sky and other channels around the world.

Enrique Beza

Enrique as a Spanish national was born and raised in
Germany and has spent most of his professional carrier
in that country. He is fluent in German, Spanish and English.
Enrique has a strong ePayment background especially since
he joined EUROCARD (EURO Kartensysteme and eurocheque GmbH,
Frankfurt) in 1998, back then the leading acquiring bank
and MasterCard licensee for Germany.
Enrique was seconded in September 2005 to the UAE by
the German business unit of Atos Worldline - a leader in
end-to-end services for critical electronic transactions,
specialized in electronic payment services (issuing, acquiring,
payment solutions, terminals and card processing), services
for financial markets as well as eCS (eServices for customers,
citizens and communities), and services for critical transactions
for Telecom Prepaid.
In June 2007 Enrique joined the Emirates Telecommunications
Co. (Etisalat) in the UAE. He started his career at Etisalat
heading the Prepaid Recharge section, responsible for the
development of electronic recharge distribution channels.
After achieving important milestones, in October 2009 Enrique
was called to join the newly established EMCS (Etisalat
mCommerce Services) business unit to head the mCommerce
section directing the Product Marketing of Mobile Financial
Services, mobile Money, MMT, and mPayments.

Liisa Kanniainen
Executive Director, Mobey Forum
Liisa Kanniainen holds Master of Science degree in International
Economics. After university studies Liisa worked a few
years as a polytechnic teacher and acquired also Polytechnic
Teacher qualification.
Liisa Kanniainen has worked on mobile financial services
for the past 15 years. Liisa has led several pioneering
projects during the early days of this industry. First
she worked at Digital B.V. in the Netherlands, then the
next 6 years in Finland at Nokia Corporation. During her
Nokia Mobile Phones years Liisa worked in various management
positions in product development. Her last position at
Nokia Ventures was Head of R&D, mobile commerce.
In 2001 she changed to Nordea Bank and Mobey Forum in
order to full time concentrate on creating the cross-industry
collaboration required for making the mobile financial
services market as the Mobey Forum Workgroup Executive.
In Nordea she has been in charge of mobile financial services
on corporate level. In Mobey Forum she carries since Feb
2007 the full operational responsibility of all activities
and daily management of the Forum as the Executive Director
of the rapidly growing cross-industry consortium.
Liisa Kanniainen is a widely known and knowledgeable
industry expert who often contributes to industry conferences
as Chairman or Keynote presenter. She has been the editor
of several important industry white papers and topical
articles, and has chaired the work of several pioneering
working groups in the mobile financial services business
area.

Mahzan Mahfudz

Mahzan Mahfudz, 45, currently holds the position of Vice
President for Product Innovation in Celcom Axiata Berhad,
and is in charge of the direction, conceptualization, planning
and implementation of various initiatives for Celcom's
Value Added Services (VAS).
His forte being in Systems Analysis and Design, as well
as Software and Product Development, Mahzan is acknowledged
as one of the key members in the first mobile commerce
roll-out for Axiata companies. Joining Celcom ten years
ago in 2000, Mahzan brought with him twenty years of skill
and working experience from the airline and telecommunication
industries respectively.
Martin Strommer

Martin Strommer serves Director of Business Development,
Mobile Solutions for Motorola’s Home & Networks
Mobility business in Asia. He works with regional Mobile
Operators and other Motorola customers specializing in the
fields of Mobile Commerce, Mobile TV and Mobile Data Networks.
He has joined Motorola from Amethon Solutions where he held
the position of CEO and executed the company’s new
product go-to-market strategy and successfully secured its
second round of funding. Prior to Amethon, Martin worked
Alcatel Australia where he held the position of Director,
Business Development, Network Operator Solutions for the
Asian and Pacific regions. In this role, Martin directed
a team of solution specialists and managed Alcatel’s
budget and P&L for existing and new software solution
business with Alcatel’s customers in Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining Alcatel, Martin successfully started up
the Asia Pacific organization of Tantau Software, a Compaq/Tandem
spin-off company. Tantau Software was later acquired by 724
Solutions where Martin served as Director of Sales Support,
based in Hong Kong.
Martin has close to 20 years of sales and management experience
in the information technology industry, specializing in the
mobile telecommunications sector. He holds a degree in computer
science and business economics from the Akademie fuer Datenverabeitung,
Boeblingen, Germany and lives in Sydney, Australia.
Makoto Shibata
Principal Analyst, eBusiness & IT Initiatives

Mr. Shibata is leading the bank’s R&D initiatives
in emerging technology and planning of online / mobile financial
services. Since he has been in eBusiness area for the past
11 years, he was involved in wide range of development projects
in new financial services channels for both retail and wholesale
customer. His previous career in banking includes Corporate
Planning, Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Retail Customer
Services.
He is also active in promoting new global standard, XBRL
(eXtensible Business Reporting Language), for processing
financial data, serving as Chair of Financial Services Working
Group for XBRL Japan.
Mr. Shibata made presentation on variety of topics, such
as Payment, Data Standard, Channel Management and Mobile
Finance in many industry conferences, including for BOJ,
TSE, EFMA and SWIFT.
He has BA from the University of Tokyo (with a year at
Harvard University), and MSc from Oxford University.

Naresh Vyas

With over 15 years of experience in the Financial Systems,
Naresh has experience in a broad range of technologies from
Mainframe upto Mobile. He currently manages the Consumer
Transaction Banking technology at Standard Chartered Bank,
which consists of Core Banking Mainframe systems, and front-end
channels, including ATMs, Internet, and Mobile. This includes
Standard Chartered’s award winning Internet website
in over 25 markets.
Naresh is an inventor in the Online Financial space, with
a patent entitled “Methods and Systems for implementing
on-line financial institution services via a single platform” issued
in the European Union and United States. He has also written
a paper titled “Symphony: exploring user interface
representations for learner-centered process scaffolding” published
by the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM).

Rajesh Yohannan

Rajesh Yohannan is the Regional eBusiness and
Direct Banking Head for Citi’s regional consumer
bank franchise in Asia. In this role Rajesh has overall
business ownership for the Internet, mobile, email channels
covering new customer acquisition, cross-sell, customer
service, customer experience and electronic payments. Rajesh
Yohannan is part of the Consumer Bank leadership team in
Asia and is also responsible for formulating and driving
Citi’s
strategy to significantly improve and digitize its remote
banking and communication capabilities. Prior to this,
he was the Regional CitiPhone Sales Head for Asia. Rajesh
joined Citi in 2003. Rajesh is a Computer Science Engineering
graduate from National Institute of Technology, Trichy
(India) and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management,
Calcutta.

Rahul Shinghal
Regional Mobile Manager

Rahul Shinghal is Regional Mobile Manager for PayPal Asia
Pacific, where he is responsible for mobile product strategy,
development and growth across the region. In this role, he
drives mobile payment adoption amongst developers, merchants,
mobile operators and handset manufacturers and oversees the
development of PayPal’s mobile products to deliver
leading mobile payment services to PayPal’s millions
of Asian customers.
Mobile will be key to the growth and development of ecommerce,
especially here in Asia, and as the leading global online
payment service, PayPal will continue to innovate and drive
growth in the area of mobile payments. As part of this innovation,
Rahul strives to build products and services that enable
mobile developers, manufactures and operators to capitalise
on this growth and monetise mobile payments.
Prior to joining PayPal, Rahul has over 10 year experience
in Mobile and Internet based commerce services. Rahul spent
2 years as Head of Mobile and Internet services at NETS Singapore.
Rahul also spent 7 years as Asia Pacific Sales Director for
SmartTrust, a Swedish telecom company which developed mobile
internet and mobile transaction based solutions. In that
capacity he closely worked with Mobile Operators and Financial
institutions to drive the adoption of mobile transaction
services in the region.
Rahul holds an MBA from NMIMS India and a Bachelor of Commerce
from Delhi University.

Rob Jonker
Before joining the banking community, Rob worked at the
Department of Justice for 14 years in several management
functions.
In 1996 he joined Deutsche Bank Amsterdam and became Head
of Cash Operations in which he coordinated several important
project during the years to come (e.g. EURO implementation
and Y2K project)
In 2005 he moved over to the Global Transaction Bank within
DB and was nominated as Head Country Product Management for
Belgium, France and the Netherlands, responsible for the
local Cash Management products.
In 2006, Rob was asked to join the SEPA project full time
in his role as Senior Product Manager for Global Payments,
being responsible for the seamless implementation of the
SEPA products within the Continental European branches of
Deutsche Bank.
Recently (as of January 2010), Rob joined Deutsche Bank’s
Emerging Payment Streams Unit, being responsible for Global
Corporate Business to Business Mobile Solutions.
Rob is married, has two boys in the age of 15 and 18 and
is an active football player on Sundays.

Director of IMPAC Ltd. After consulting and before returning
to his entrepreneurial career in the software industry, Teppo
spent four years in financial services with GE Capital in
Mergers & Acquisitions and Business Development positions
in London and Stockholm, and most recently as Managing Director
of GE Capital Equipment Finance in Finland.
Teppo earned
his M.Sc. in Economics from the Helsinki School of Economics
and Business Administration in 1991, and MBA in General Management from
INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France in 1996. He is based in New
York.
